U12 – Coolum Sharks really needed a win this week to hold onto second place and Caloundra Red was the team to do it against. Like every game we started strong for the first 5 minutes, controlling the game and having lots of shots, but we couldn’t manage to get one in the net. Then Caloundra Red stole the ball in our half and got a quick counter attack goal. This fired the sharks up and in the space of 5 minutes Jo ran the ball twice, the first time taking a shot outside the box going in the bottom left, and the second time putting the ball top right. the second half ended 2-1 Coolums way. With Coolum in the lead, they started the second half with the mindset to get another goal to secure the win. Jake set the trend for the second half when we got a corner and Adam kicked the ball into the centre, which hit Jake on the foot as he was running to get in position. After the goal Coolum took control of the game, Caloundra barely left their own half and the Sharks moved the ball around so well. 3 more goals came before the end of the half, 2 from Jye and 1 from Daniel. MVP went to Jo.

U9 – Coolum Barracudas had an easy time against a struggling opposition. Thank you to Chantal who wrote…
“Well done team on the win against the Palmwoods Knights 9-0. Their team were down a few players so our darling Bodhi changed sides to help them out. Bodhi did a great job and got player of the match from both their team and ours. But all our boys were really “on the ball”. Frank said to the boys at the end he was so amazed at their passing to each other and “it was a real delight to see them play”. I attached some footage of the boys in action.”
