The team pulled a second win of the season, beating Caloundra red 3-2.
The beginning was a bit rocky with the Sharks starting off slow and conceding 2 goals early.
However we stayed strong and from some good play by the team and great goals by Jake, we ended the first half at 2-2.
After hydrating and some fruit, the team went back on in the second half strong, with lots of great shots and saves from both teams, but the Sharkies finally pulled ahead when Caden put away a great cross from Adam. MVP went to Jake for his hard effort and good runs. Each week the Sharks are improving and putting into effect what they are learning at training and it is so great to see.
The U9 Barracudas displayed how far they have come since the beginning of the year. Again playing the Currimundi Makos who beat us in the beginning of the season, the combination of solid and committed defending, and some great goal keeping paved the way for our team to keep a clean sheet and play their passing game, creating an abundance of opportunities to score, which we did. Particular mention goes to Samuel who picked up the MVP for the day and has shown great improvement in his positional play and a growing confidence in driving the ball forward from the middle and in shooting for goal. A special mention to Corey who also played a great first half in defense and second half made some stellar runs from mid-field. A great team effort all round.
